Who We Are
HMI-Technik was founded in 2001 by Axel Heinbokel and Claus Müller and is based in Berlin-Weißensee (Gehringstraße 53). As Heinbokel & Müller GbR, we develop and manufacture high-quality, GMP-compliant systems, components, and customized special solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.
The conversion into a GmbH is planned for 2026; ISO 9001 certification is being prepared for the third quarter of 2026.
For more than two decades, we have stood for reliable engineering, practical innovation, and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements. Our customers value us as a technically skilled partner who not only develops solutions but consistently supports them through to successful commissioning.
What We Develop and Manufacture
Our focus is on containment and process technology as well as customized GMP solutions for demanding production processes. These include, among others:
- Factory and layout planning for efficient, future-proof production environments
- Isolators and gloveboxes for sterility testing, aseptic production, and the safe handling of active pharmaceutical ingredients and toxic substances
- Individually designed batch preparation systems – mobile or stationary, precisely tailored to your processes
- Weighing tables with and without integrated extraction
- Custom-built solutions and prototypes when no GMP-compliant solution is available on the market
- GxP-compliant assemblies and components for seamless process integration
Our designs combine technical precision, regulatory certainty, and durable quality – for measurable added value in your production.
Our Expertise
With our experience and specialization, we create solutions for the most demanding requirements:
- High-containment technology for highly potent and toxic substances
- Customized Development – individual GMP and special-purpose solutions instead of standard products
- ATEX expertise for explosion-protected plant areas
- Extensive regulatory project experience (GMP, GxP, hygienic design)
- Holistic project approach – from preliminary planning through design and manufacturing to a successful production start
HMI-Technik stands for collaborative partnership, technical excellence, and solutions that are consistently aligned with your processes and goals.

The highest quality in the solutions we develop and the services we deliver is the foundation for realizing our vision and mission. To achieve this, we can rely on our strong and competent team, which is committed to the success of the services to be provided. Success is ensured by our quality principles.
Behind HMI's products and services is an experienced engineering team of mechanical and process engineers. We have known the high technical and regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical development and production in detail for many years. We also translate this knowledge into field-proven technology.
The manufacture of our own systems began in 2000 with the development of a pharmaceutical dosing unit. This ranges from solutions in bulk material processing and conveying through to isolator construction.
In parallel, the field of handling and process technology developed.
