Extraction Filter Unit with Wet Cleaning

ASF500 WIP

Our ASF500 WIP extraction filter unit is specially designed for the continuous extraction and separation of highly potent, toxic and explosive dusts. It also serves to generate and control the required negative pressure in the upstream machines, thus ensuring a reliable process. At the same time, it operates efficiently and with low maintenance.

Thanks to its compact design, this mobile extraction filter unit is suitable for installation where space is limited and for integration into existing production lines.

Designed for the Highest Demands

Processing hazardous substances classified as OEB5 or installation in a cleanroom places particularly stringent requirements on the machines. Our extraction filter unit
ASF500 WIP is designed for both:

  • Suitable for use with hazardous substances classified as OEB5
  • Cleanroom-compatible: designed for installation in clean areas
(cleanroom Grade D (option: C) according to the EU GMP Guidelines)
  • Cleaning validation: suitable for standardized cleaning validation processes

More Than an Exhaust Air Filter

To ensure safe and efficient filtration of highly potent, toxic or explosive dusts, the extraction filter unit offers three filter stages:
The first filter stage consists of a membrane filter; further filtration of the process air takes place via two H14 HEPA filters.

1st Filter Stage - Membrane Filter:

  • Surface filtration on robust membrane filters for efficient dust separation
  • Efficient filter cleaning during ongoing operation
  • Wash-in-place (WIP) for complete wet cleaning with subsequent drying (DIP)
  • Short WIP/DIP process times for fast batch changeovers
  • DEHS connections for HEPA filter testing
  • Durable membrane filters with a service life of up to 5 years

2nd + 3rd Filter Stage

  • Class H14 HEPA filters
  • “Safe Change” filter replacement for safe and contamination-free exchange
  • For maintenance purposes, the inflow side of the 2nd filter stage can be integrated into the wet cleaning process (WIP).
  • DEHS connections for HEPA filter testing

Maximum Flexibility

Every process places its own requirements on the production machines. To meet these, our ASF500 WIP extraction filter unit offers the following options:

  • Flexible dust discharge with various removal options, for example continuous liners for containment classification OEB5
  • Easy connection to the upstream process system and to on-site CIP/WIP systems via standardized connections
  • Mobile unit, ideal where space is limited
  • Easily accessible components for simple maintenance

Automation

Our ASF500 WIP extraction filter unit can be integrated into your process control system.

  • Unit controlled by Siemens PLC
  • Integrated pressure measurement for volume flow control and filter monitoring
  • Integration into process control systems via Profinet
